About this development
Construction of a 44MW Singrobo Ahouaty hydro power plant, and its ancillary infrastructure on the Bandama River near the villages of Singrobo and Ahouaty in Côte d’Ivoire. The project’s hydropower facilities comprise: a rockfill dam with a permeability layer measuring approximately 27m in height and 1 025m in length, a concrete dam measuring approximately 27m in height and 150m in length, a spillway, water intake structure and bottom outlet, a reservoir with a maximum area of 20km² and a volume of approximately 105 hm³, two penstocks with a diameter of 5m, a power house with two 22 MW horizontal Kaplan turbines, a 1.3km long and 35m wide tailrace channel, a 3km access road, camp site facilities comprising construction facilities and a permanent O&M camp site and a 4km transmission line and substation to connect to the Singrobo-Ahouaty hydropower plant to the existing Taabo-Agboville transmission line.
