About this development

Construction of a water treatment plant for the Simiyu Regional Bulk Water Supply Project in Simiyu Region, Tanzania. The treatment works will include installations for full standard water treatment comprising dosing, mixing, flocculation, sedimentation, filtering, disinfections with all necessary tools and equipment for optimal operation of the plant. The capacity of the WTP will be 54,252m³/d and there will be a clear water tank included. The location of the water treatment plant is planned at a distance of about 1.7km from the lake shoreline. The needed area for the final phase (year 2035) is about 10 hectares. The project value is €64.1 million.
