About this development
Sibanye completed a pre-feasibility study investigating the potential of solar power as an alternative source of electrical power to partially insulate the company from the effects of electricity supply interruptions from Eskom. The PFS confirmed that solar power provided an economically competitive solution for Sibanye's electrical requirements. Sibanye proposes to establish a solar photovoltaic generating plant with a peak generating capacity of 150MW. Estimated Project Value: R3 billion.
