About this development
Upgrades to the existing SANBS CK2 lab situated on Portion 1 of Erf 921, 1 Constantia Boulevard, Constantia Kloof, Roodepoort, Gauteng. CIDB 8GB. The upgrade of the Laboratory building (referred to as CK2) which entails the renewal of the existing building fabric, laboratories, offices, core structure, services and finishes to present-day standards, to ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, reach required SHE compliance and meet GBCSA requirements for the application of the project as a 5-star rating. The project also includes an upgrade to the perimeter fence which entails replacement and relocation of the current fence-related structures and services, a new guardhouse and additional service gate. The Constantia Kloof Campus has standby generators to provide required backup for operational continuity and makes use of borehole as a primary source of water supply and municipal supply as a secondary source.
