Samancor Chrome (Samancor) is applying for authorisation to start two new chrome mines and have applied for mining rights on the following farms: Samancor currently holds prospecting rights on the farms Varkensvlei 403 KQ (portions 1, 2 and remainder) and Nooigedacht 406 KQ (portions 2,6, 7 and 10). The project site lies across the border of the North West and Limpopo Provinces, 50km north of Pretoria and 130km east of Bela-Bela.
