About this development
The AREVA seawater desalination plant is located 30km north of Swakopmund in Namibia. Once completed, the plant will be capable of delivering 20-million cubic metres a year of treated water which will be pumped through an overland pipeline to the Trekkopje mine site, about 50 km inland. Estimated project value: R420 million.
