About this development
Construction of new water treatment plants and rehabilitation of existing water treatment plants in Ghira, Rwanda. This project is for the improvement of water and sanitation infrastructure in Kigali, Rusizi, Huye, Rubavu, Musanze, Muhanga ,Nyagatare and Karongi. The aim is to improve the selected towns overall clean water access through expanding the water supply network infrastructure by designing and constructing river water intake, raw water pipeline and treated water pipelines ranging from DN 500mm to 90mm for 15 km, water storage tanks, one booster pumping station for treated water and a new water treatment plant 15 000m³ and rehabilitation of the existing one of 8 000m³. The project is estimated to cost over US$182 million.
