About this development
Anglo Platinum Limited wishes to amend their existing Rustenburg Platinum Mine Waterval Section EMP for the planned extension of operations so as to allow for the recovery of chromite by-products resulting from the platinum benefication process. APL proposes the following new infrastructure within the existing mining licence area: Water tank; Chromite recovery plant: 4 modules and related infrastructure; 2 Chromite stockpiles; Dispatch facility (rail, link or road); Offices and workshops; All interconnections to the existing plant including water, electricity and tailings. The proposed chromite recovery plant at RPM is located within the mining licence area and will be situated on the farm Waterval 581 JQ in the Bonjanala Platinum District, North West Province, approximately 6km from the nearest town of Rustenburg.
