About this development
Construction of services and infrastructure for the Sappi Land Development. The development will be called Royal Creek, and comprises a proposed 361ha, of which 322ha is proposed development land and about 22ha is to remain undeveloped and retained as natural wetlands. The proposed development is situated to the North of Birdswood, on Portion 2 of Erf 11497 in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The development will also consist of Residential and Commercial components, a Hospital, a Frail Care Facility, a Retirement Village, a High School and 2 Primary Schools, and will cover an area to the extent of 360ha. Geographical coordinates of the site: South: 28° 43’ 16.92” East: 32° 03’ 39.81. Total estimated value of the entire development: R700 million.
