About this development
Construction of the commercial component of the Sappi Land Development. The development will be called Royal Creek, and comprises a proposed 361ha, of which 322ha is proposed development land and about 22ha is to remain undeveloped and retained as natural wetlands. The commercial component will consist of a commercial stand covering an area of 23,612m² and an office stand covering an area of 4,471m². The proposed development is situated to the North of Birdswood, on Portion 2 of Erf 11497 in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The development will also consist of a Residential component, a Hospital, a Frail Care Facility, a Retirement Village, a High School and 2 Primary Schools, and will cover an area to the extent of 360ha. Geographical coordinates of the site: South: 28° 43’ 16.92” East: 32° 03’ 39.81. Total estimated value of the entire development: R700 million.
