About this development
Revamp and refurbishment of the Rosebank Hotel by refurbishing 318 bedrooms, installing new bathrooms and redevelopment of public spaces. There will be a partial demolition and reconstruction of the hotel's ground floor and external areas and will include building a new feature restaurant and a whiskey-and-cigar bar. Conference and meeting rooms will be part of the refurbishment programme and the hotel's main entrance will be moved to Sturdee Avenue. There will also be the construction of a health spa and gym area as well as a new swimming pool with a terrace. This hotel will be linked to the world's largest hotel group, the InterContinental Hotel Group. The Hotel will be known as the Crowne Plaza Johannesburg - The Rosebank. Value: R314 million.
