About this development
Refurbishment of the existing Rooiberg waste water treatment works within the Thabazimbi Local Municipality in Limpopo. CIDB 7CE. Scope of works could include but not limited to: construction of 3 chamber contact tanks for serpentine flow, installation of 3 stirrers for each chamber to keep solids in suspension, installation 2 submersible pumps for internal chamber recirculation, installation 3 RAS pumps for existing aeration basin into chamber, concrete works for sealing, protection against abrasion of walls and works to accommodate inlet diversion, weir at existing aeration basin, RAS pumps etc. and pipework and valves, construction of new open chamber/manhole outside the perimeter fence for the receiving of onsite sewage truck dumping, construction of a 2.4m high concrete Palisade Fencing for a perimeter of 380m around the WWTP, construction of a new change rooms with added toilet facilities, construction of a new Calcium hypochlorite (HTH) make up for pathogen treatment and replacement of the pipework for the sludge pump and drying beds.
