About this development
Construction of the Roodepoort solar energy facility on portion 3 of farm Roodepoort, approximately 11km southwest of Polokwane, Limpopo. The SEF will consist of up to 482,000 modules/ panels, with a total facility output of up to 265MW. The SEF will be associated with an IPP substation, BESS, laydown areas, operation and maintenance building, internal roads and medium voltage reticulation network. The construction footprint will be up to 32,53ha, inclusive of roads, rehabilitated to an operational footprint of up to 22,24ha. The GPS marker has been placed at farm Roodepoort 24°01'07.9"S 29°25'16.0"E
