About this development
Construction of infrastructure and services for Ridgeside Development. The site is approximately 140ha and is situated to the South of The Manors below Umhlanga Rocks Drive, KwaZulu-Natal which forms the North-Western boundary of the site. The M41 coast road and MR96 road form the South-Eastern and Western boundaries of the site respectively. The development proposes 5 main precincts, namely: A mixed-use precinct adjacent to Umhlanga Rocks Drive for commercial, residential and hotels related uses; A commercial offices precinct adjacent to the M41; Two residential precincts - of medium to high density one adjacent to The Manors and another below the commercial office precinct; and, a precinct for conservation/recreation created around the existing residual coastal forest and natural valley, with access to adjacent residential precincts.
