Richards Bay Coal Terminal Expansion - Fifth Phase

Expansion to RBCT by Phase V consortium (RBCT and SDCT participants), which will see the terminal expand from its current annual throughput capacity of 72 million tons to 91 million tons. Included in this expansion is a fifth tandem tippler for offloading, increased stockyard capacity, a stacker/reclaimer, supporting infrastructure and an extension of the dedicated quay to six berths measuring 1,9km. Two water recycling dams will also form part of the project. Value: R1.2 billion.
