About this development
Construction of a 680MW thermal power plant, Moamba Gas-fired Power Plant Project in Mozambique, which will be powered by gas from Mozambique's Inhambane gas fields. The power plant is to be built in Ressano Garcia, in the district of Moamba, 60 km (35 miles) northwest of Maputo. It will be the biggest natural gas-fired plant in Mozambique The project will cost an estimated US$1.3 billion.
