About this development
The project involves the refurbishment of Lusaka's iconic Society House Tower that was gutted by fire in the 1990's. The reconstructed skyscraper will consists of a 160 room Holiday Inn, conferencing and retail mall, A-grade offices and 1 100 car parking garage. This is for the Hotel and conferencing portion of the development. The project is not just a restoration of the burnt-out tower, but the tower will be resurfaced in a distinctive copper metallic surface and remodeled using a new 20 storey externalized fire escape as a means to animate the existing structure. Lusaka is the capital city of Zambia. Approximate value : R673 million.
