About this development
Re-routing of various sections of gas pipeline running from Sasolburg through a part of Krugersdorp and parts of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality area in particular Alberton, Germiston, Brakpan and Boksburg areas, in the Gauteng Province. The project will entail the relocation of sections of existing pipeline to more acceptable locations (e.g. road servitudes) following a risk assessment conducted by Sasol Gas. Pipeline sections located in the following areas would need to be realigned: Verwoerdpark (Alberton) - Hobson Marble Street and Kritzinger Street; Bertopark (Boksburg) - Abrahams Road and Adams Road; Elspark (Germiston) - Partridge street; Dalview (Brakpan) - within private property in a new servitude and Mindalore (Krugersdorp) - Impala Road and Richardson Road.
