Special Maintenance on National Route R62 Section 7 between Joubertina from km 0.0 to Kareedouw at km 42.50, Kou Kamma Local Municipality, Sarah Baartman District Municipality, Eastern Cape. Value of the project: R208 035 268,00. The existing road comprises a single, bituminous surfaced lane in each direction, 6.2 m to 6.8 m in width, with gravel shoulders of variable width. There are numerous at-grade intersections, some with bituminous surfacing and others with gravel wearing courses.The scope entails isolated pavement repairs followed by a seal surfacing. Ancillary and other maintenance works such as edge break repairs, guardrails, gabions, lined drains and edge beams will also be implemented.The GPS marker has been placed along the construction route 33°52'01.6"S 24°01'07.9"E
