R516 Section 1 from R511 to Tooyspruit

Construction of the National Road R516 Section 1 from R511 at km 0.00 to Tooyspruit at km 36.67 in the District Municipality of Waterberg and Local Municipality of Thabazimbi, Limpopo. Value of the project: R 947 731 642.28. Scope of works could include: improving the cross-section to include 3.7m wide lanes and 3.0m surfaced shoulders and 0.5m gravel shoulders, rehabilitation of existing layer works to provide adequate structural capacity and ensure a lift in road level, construction of right turning lanes at five intersections, construction of bus laybys on both sides of R516, a sidewalk along both lanes and a raised median between the islands of the two intersections to provide refuge for crossing pedestrians, erecting streetlights, extension and replacement of minor and major culverts as well as bridges.
