About this development
Construction of a new waste water treatment works and to upgrade and repair the existing sewer reticulation system for the town Pomfret in the North West Province. The proposed development falls within the jurisdiction of the Kagisano-Molopo local municipality on portion 10 of the Farm Pomfret 189 JM and is located in Ward 3 and 12. The scope of works includes: upgrading of existing reticulation lines and manholes, new sewer pipeline (approximately 1500m in length), new substation to supply electricity to the WWTW, upgrade of the western sump currently located directly next to where the new WWTW will be constructed, upgrade of the existing sump at the east with the addition of an emergency overflow pond and the construction of a new biological activated sludge WWTW consisting of an inlet works, anaerobic pond, facultative pond and maturation ponds.
