About this development
Construction of a new parking area and drop-off zone, as well as a link road to Washington Road and Market Road forms part of the scope of the Oribi airport expansion in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The expansion of the airport will also include an extension of the taxiway to service an extension of the aircraft apron, an expansion of the terminal building, expanded facilities for aircraft maintenance and repair, and existing hangars will be reconfigured. A Technology Hub is proposed between the runway and western boundary of the airport on Oribi Road. The project is proposed on the existing Airport Property, on Remainder of Erf 10 000 and the adjoining properties: Rem of Erf 870, Erf 10159, Rem of Erf 1589, a portion of Erf 1910 all of Pietermaritzburg.
