About this development
Upgrades and additions at Pholela High School in Bulwer, KwaZulu-Natal. The scope of works includes internal alterations to the existing administration block; renovations and repair of all existing buildings; construction of 5 x new multi-purpose classrooms (life sciences laboratory, engineering graphics & design studio and dramatic arts); 10 x new standard classrooms; 1 x library / media centre; 1 x computer room; 1 x guard house; storerooms and offices outside the admin block; additional ablution facilities for boys and girls and 1 x new school nutrition programme kitchen. External works include 33 parking bays; upgrading of the sports facilities (1 x combi-court, 1 x netball field, 1 x large soccer field); stormwater reticulation and all sewer lines; new fencing; demarcating the entire school facility and providing the removable structures; surfacing of the entrance driveways, bus / taxi drop-off; and all electrical installation and lightning protection to all structures and electrification of all new structures.
