About this development
The project objective is to construct and commission a new multi-product pipeline from Mombasa to Nairobi (450 kilometers) in Kenya alongside the existing pipeline. The new pipeline is designed to meet petroleum products demand for the Eastern Africa Region up to the year 2044. Estimated project value : Sh48 billion, but will incur an additional Sh11 billion due to ‘challenges and errors’ the contractor blamed on the Kenya Pipeline Company.
