About this development
Construction of the new Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Limpopo. The new stadium will be built adjacent to the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex and other sporting facilities such as the golf and cricket fields, a world-class gym and rugby field. The facilities will include 40 000 seats for spectators, 5 000 VIP seating, a media area for 1 675 media representatives, 600 press seats, 200 TV positions, 150 TV/Radio observer seats, 20 VIP boxes, 800m² VIP reception area/lounge, offices and storage areas and parking for players, officials and buses. Project value: R 716-billion, with the city and provincial government having to come up with an additional R 154-million.
