About this development
Construction of package 6, sub-package 6 as part of the Palmiet System Infrastructure development to be situated in the following suburbs of Johannesburg Yeoville and Kensington reservoirs, Gauteng. The contract value is R1 835 442 048,00. The scope of work will include but is not limited to both the C4 and the C14 pipelines which will have to be replaced with a single ¢1200mm pipeline of 7km long, The only pipelines that have an estimated life of more than 15 — 20 years are 9900 metres of ¢900mm C24 and 2500 metres of #1000mm C10 starting at the pumping station pipelines. The remaining 7600 meters of 61000mm C10 pipeline will have to be replaced. The GPS Coordinates have been placed at Kensington B reservoir 26°04'41.3"S 28°00'24.0"E
