About this development
Rehabilitation of Palmiet Pump Station situated in Van Bergen Street, Alberton, Gauteng. The contract value is R817 457 618,99. The scope of work will include but is not limited to work associated with the previously constructed 40.571km section of the existing B17 pipeline starting at Zuikerbosch Pump Station that was laid towards Palmiet Pump Station. The work will primarily comprise of investigations and testing of the pipeline steel, coating and lining, ensuring that all outstanding work is completed, pipeline and concrete related repairs are undertaken, sections of the pipeline replaced where required, valves checked and refurbished as required, and specific specials replaced in chambers, etc. The work consists of earthworks, pipe laying and associated civil works for remaining works on the 16 010m of 2 100mm internal diameter steel water pipe with a 16mm wall thickness to be laid from Palmiet Pump Station to Signal Hill Reservoir. The GPS Coordinates have been placed at Palmiet Pump Station 26°18'21.7"S 28°05'25.9"E
