About this development
Construction of an organic recycling processing facility on farm Corona No. 480, Paarl, in the Western Cape. The project will involve the construction of an open window composting facility, enclosed composting facility and the installation of a biodigester. Selected organic wastes such as green waste, fruit & vegetable, paper pulp, industrial wine and industrial beverage waste, sewage sludge, abattoir waste, food / factory waste, fish waste and household wet waste, will be processed. Organic type compost will be produced as well as to generate electricity from the methane rich biogas produced by the biodigester for own use, potential input into the grid or supply of energy to neighbouring commercial operations.
