About this development
Construction of infrastructure and building of 3 500 units for the Orange Grove 3500 Housing Project on a 300ha piece of land on the Remainder of Farm 862 adjacent to Boxwood and 5km south east of Need’s Camp in East London, Eastern Cape. The proposed site is located approximately 20km from East London and it is outside the urban edge of Buffaclo City Municipality, on an area earmarked for municipal commonage. It is accessible via an unnamed road branching from R346 (East London to King William’s Town). This Project is part of the resettlement program for Orange Grove community, the beneficiaries, currently occupying the land near the East London airport in Ward 30. The GPS co-ordinates are 33°00'46.3"S 27°40'42.1"E
