About this development
Construction of the gatehouse, civils, services and infrastructure for the Onverwacht Village in Somerset West, in the Western Cape. Onverwacht Village is a new mixed-use development located next to the N2 between Somerset West and Sir Lowry’s pass. When completed, the precinct will consist of a retail/commercial zone (facing the N2) and a mixture of residential typologies. The gatehouse precinct consists of a series of werf walls, used as space-defining elements. The werf walls form the basis of a multi-layered precinct that caters for both vehicular and pedestrian access to the development.
