About this development
Construction of an on-site effluent treatment plant for the treatment of oily sewer effluent prior to discharging it into the municipal sewer. The on-site effluent treatment plant will be constructed for Shell and BP South African Petroleum Refineries (Pty) Ltd, located in the Prospecton area on the South Coast of the eThekwini Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal, which currently produces approximately 5000m³ per day of oily sewer effluent which consists of mixed process effluent and contaminated surface runoff.
