About this development

Construction of an 80.3 MW binary-cycle geothermal power station on Olkaria Geothermal Field, Hell's Gate National Park, in Naivasha, Nakuru County, Kenya. Project cost US$248–250 million. Scope of works could include: Installation of overall power plant mechanical equipment exceeding 1,000 metric tons (including four heavy lifts up to 600 tons each), carbon steel and stainless steel piping works surpassing 50,000 diameter inches , development and integration of steam delivery, brine handling, and power evacuation systems utilizing 19 existing production wells (with capacity for seven additional wells), site investigations including topographical and geotechnical surveys.
