Olifantspoort Specon Pipeline Phase 1A

Upgrading and refurbishment of the Olifantspoort and Ebenezer Specon pipeline within the Olifantspoort System, Polokwane, Limpopo. Estimated value R296 076 726,22. The scope of works could include the excavation to expose existing continuously welded steel pipelines, cutting into pipelines and recovery of pipes, demolition of existing reinforced concrete chambers and recovery of valves and fittings, earthworks for pipe trenches, soil erosion protection and mitigation measures, supply and installation of new 800mm and 600mm potable water pipelines including: supply and delivery of steel pipes, valves, fittings and other pipe appurtenances, placing, joining, and testing of pipes and specials, pipe bedding, construction of valve chambers for isolating, air and scour valves, offtakes, connection to the existing infrastructure, installation of cathodic protection features, minor structural civil works at the site of Olifantspoort WTW to raise concrete walls and replacement of filter media, refurbishment and replacement of the mechanical and electrical components including chemical dosing systems and the control & instrumentation system of the Olifantspoort WTW.
