Okandjande Graphite Mine, Namibia

The Okanjande deposit is located 14 km south of Otjiwarongo in the Otjozondjupa region in Namibia. The deposit straddles the boundary of two privately owned farms – Highlands and Okanjande. The Scope of the proposed Project includes the following: * The establishment of an open pit mine to a depth of 90 m. * The construction of a plant with an initial production rate of 5000 tons graphite concentrate per annum which will be expanded as the project develops. * The establishment of a tailings facility for the disposal of wet or dry tailings (depending on the outcome of the specialist studies). * The establishment of an infrastructure servitude for the construction of a road, pipeline and power line to the site.
