Construction of a US$2bn oil refinery plant and a 1 200km pipeline from Dar-es-Salaam to Mwanza and Kigoma. If the pipeline project is successful, the investor is thinking of extending it to Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda in the future. Tanzania has signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Noor Oil of Qatar for constructing an oil refinery plant and a 1,200 km pipeline from Dar es Salaam-to-Mwanza.
