About this development

Rehabilitation of selected taxiway sections, aprons, taxi lanes, asphalt areas and appurtenant works at the O R Tambo International Airport, in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The scope of works includes the rehabilitation of taxiways Hotel, Yankee, Charlie, Lima and Echo. Works in the general aviation area include crack sealing to concrete areas, patching of concrete, repair of joint spalling to concrete areas, concrete slab replacement, replacement of damaged joint seals to concrete areas, repair and reinstating of block paving areas. The other ancillary works will include: Installation of subsoil drains, painting of temporary and permanent paint markings,location and relocation of services before commencement of works on the shoulder areas, removal and re-installation of existing lights to protect them during construction work. Construction of concrete lined V drains and shaping and re-grassing of open drains. The contract value is approximately R220 Million
