About this development
Construction of the Nobuhle solar photovoltaic energy facility as well as associated infrastructure on the Remaining Extent of Farm Rietfontein No. 66, a portion of Portion No. 6 and a portion of Portion No. 11 of Farm Rietfontein No. 66 near Perdekop in the Pixley ka lsaka Seme Local Municipality of the Gert Sibande District Municipality in Mpumalanga. The development area is approximately 319 hectares. The facility will consist of the following infrastructure: PV modules; inverters and transformers; up to 33kV cabling; 33/132kV on site facility substation (IPP portion); battery energy storage systems (BESS); access road from the N11; internal access roads and internal roads between the solar rows; operational and maintenance building areas; temporary construction laydown areas; galvanised steel fencing; direct connection into the Majuba Substation’s 88kV yard via a shared collector substation using a 132kV powerline; powerline corridor with widths of up to 150m (75m on either side of centre line); monopole and lattice structure pylons of up to 40m in height. The solar PV planned generation capacity output will be up to 110 Megawatts. The exact coordinates are not known the marker has been placed on Farm Rietfontein Portion 06 27°06'17.8"S 29°48'01.2"E
