About this development
The road is located entirely in the Shiselweni region of Eswatini which is the southern most region. The road originates from the junction, 4.0km west of Nhlangano on Main Road 9 (MR) (Nhlangano to Mahamba Border Post) a distance of 22.5km to Gege where the road turns right at the main four-way junction in town. From here the road runs 16.0km to the junction with Main Road 4 (MR4) Luyengo to Sicunusa which is located 5km east of Sicucusa B Border Post. The scope of works is for the construction of 42.5km asphalt surfaced single carriageway road including 2 reinforced concrete river bridges and eight box culverts, cattle underpasses and ancillary works.
