Upgrading of the existing sewer reticulation system, Contract 2 in Ngangelizwe Township, approximately 3km south east of Mthatha CBD, O.R. Tambo District Municipality, Eastern Cape. Value of the project: R51 000 246.00 Civil works include the construction of approximately 25.250km of gravity sewer network in Ngangelizwe and the installation of approximately 1,400 new manholes within the network. The works also involve erf or house connections to the sewer reticulation system. The Ngangelizwe pump station will be upgraded through the installation of silt traps, two waste skips, and the construction of an access road from Mpondomise Road to the pump station. Mechanical works include the installation of 15mm manual screens and one sewer meter at the Ngangelizwe pump station. Electrical works comprise the rewiring of electrical connections at the motor control center (MCC) of the pump station. The central GPS co-ordinates of the site are 31°36'23.6"S 28°48'29.6"E
