About this development
IFM is studying the feasibility of opening a new mine at the adjoining Sky Chrome property, 8km from its current Lesedi mine in the North West Province, and the construction of three more, larger furnaces together with an additional 700 000t/y pelletising and sintering plant and beneficiation plant. This expansion is to increase output by 150% from the current 267 000 t/y to 665 000 t/y.
