Ndevu Gorge Hydropower Project, Zambia

Construction of the Ndevu Gorge power project which is planned on the Luangwa River with a generation capacity of 235MW in Zambia. Value: US$ 1.2 billion. The project involves the construction a 235MW hydroelectric power plant. It includes a dam, a powerhouse, control rooms, a substation and access roads, the installation of generators, turbines and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines. Value: US$ 1.260 billion.
