The proposed Ndarugu I Dam (Mavoko –Kitengela), Water Supply Project involves the design and construction of 12.5m high concrete dam with an overflow channel spillway designed to carry the maximum probable run-off of 576 m3/s; 55,000 m3/d water treatment plant; 46 km transmission ferrous pipes from Ndarugu Dam to Syokimau; 4.1 km 700mm diameter and 12.7 km 500mm and 400mm diameter distribution ferrous pipes within Mavoko and Kitengela; 5 000m³, 20 000m³ and 5 000m³. Storage tanks for Utawala and Syokimau and Mavoko respectively and associated works.
