About this development
Construction of a natural gas pipeline project in the Western Cape. The project will be developed in phases. The first phase will see the building of an offshore terminal, an onshore gas treatment plant for the gas, and 225km transmission and distribution pipelines. The second phase includes the building of a pipeline to the north and east, to supply up to 180 potential, mainly industrial customers in the Saldanha Bay and the inland region. Capital cost estimates amount to about R2,5 billion.
