National Route 4 - Section 1

Resurfacing of National Route 4, Section 1 from Proefplaas at km 8.4 to Solomon Mahlangu Interchange at km 21.0 in Pretoria, Gauteng. National Route N4-01 generally consists of a six-lane dual carriageway freeway which becomes a four-lane dual carriageway at approximately km 16 near Simon Vermooten Interchange. The roadworks entail the repair and resurfacing of: (i) National route N4, section 01 from Proefplaas Interchange (km 08.40) to Solomon Mahlangu Interchange (km 21); (ii) Watermeyer Street on and off ramps; (iii) Watermeyer Street overpass; (iv) Rossouw Street on and off ramps; (v) Rossouw Street underpass; (vi) Solomon Mahlangu Drive on and off ramps; (vii) Solomon Mahlangu Drive overpass; (viii) Meiring Naude Road overpass; (ix) Samson Crescent overpass; (x) Gordon Verster Road overpass; (xi) Libertas Avenue underpass; and (xii) Partial and full replacement of asphaltic plug type and steel type bridge joints.
