About this development
Widening of the N1 between the Plattekloof Road Interchange and the R300 Interchange in the Western Cape. The widening will be at two locations. Site 1 is located at Jip de Jager Interchange, where widening of the on- and off-ramps for the N1 freeway requires extension across the watercourse. Site 2 is located on the southern shoulder of the N1 freeway inbound, approximately 200m west of the Carl Cronje Drive Underpass. At this site, a wetland in the road reserve will need to be partially infilled in order to accommodate the road widening.
