About this development
The Munali concentrator is to be upgraded from its current nameplate capacity of 900 000 t/y to 1,2 million tons a year. The work involved will include upgrades to the flotation cells, the mill feed system and modifications to the milling circuit. The increase in the milling capacity will result in a 20% increase in the annual production from the project to between 10 000 t and 10 500 t of nickel in concentrate. The nickel project is located 60km south of Lusaka. Project value: $2.5 million.
