About this development
Construction of the Muhoya multipurpose Dam located in Nyeri County, Kenya. The scope of works are yet to be confirmed as the client still needs to establish the preferred site. Dam site 1 has a capacity of about 80 million cubic meter of water. If constructed it will affect 20 settlement plots. It will partly submerge Mau Mau road. Dam site 2 has a capacity of about 58 million cubic meter of water. If constructed it will affect 120 settlement plots. Dam site 3 has a capacity of about 674 million cubic meter of water. If constructed it will affect 1200 settlement plots. It will partly submerge Karatina – Nanyuki road and Marua – Nyeri Road. Muhoya dam is proposed at the confluence of Chania and Zaina River.
