About this development
Construction of the Mtwara-Mbamba Bay railway will be 438km long and 1.435 metres wide and will branch out to Liganga and Mchuchuma coal and iron mines via Songeaa in Tanzania, East Africa. The construction of the railway would be done as a part of government's effort to develop the Mtwara Development Corridor. Estimated project value : TZS 2.4 trillion shillings
