About this development
Construction of a shopping centre in Mpophomeni, in KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. The local market is capable of supporting a 16 500 sqm floor area shopping centre with a super market as an anchor tenant. National Treasury and the Municipality have made funding commitments towards support infrastructure such as roads pedestrian and commuter facilities to increase accessibility to the site and adjacent taxi rank. The construction of this support infrastructure has commenced and will continue throughout 2009. The land in question is owned by the Municipality, is centrally placed in Mpophomeni and of an extent of 28 000 sq m.
