About this development
Development of the M'Phatlele platinum mine east of the Lonmin Limpopo operations. The eight-kilometre strike has a significant inferred resource of 12,6-million ounces from near-surface to 1 000 m and the site boasts base-metal credits and a high sulphide content in the UG2, which makes it more amenable to smelting. The M'phatlele Project will include shaft complexes for accessing the underground reserves, a mineral processing plant, waste disposal facilities and associated support services and infrastructure. The project will be located on farm Locatie van M'Phatlele 457 KS, approximately 49km south east of Polokwane and 82km west north west of Burgerfort in the Capricorn District of the Limpopo Province.
